The day Bowie came to my outback town
An alien lands in Carinda, NSW.
In spring 2011, the Radio National audience was invited to contribute to New Beginnings — an ABC Pool and 360documentaries user-generated documentary project.
The call out asked for stories about times where you took a leap of faith and tried something new.
Contributions came in from around the world and included songs, audio work, written stories, and photos. These elements were then woven together into a 50-minute feature program.
ABC POOL was a groundbreaking user-generated platform built by the ABC, read about it here.
360documentaries was RN’s long form social history feature program.
