Academic expectations, job competition and financial pressures are forcing young South Koreans to give up on relationships, marriage and kids.

Some even refer to their country as ‘Hell Joseon’, a reference to their poor quality of life.

But not everyone is prepared to surrender those traditional life stages. Despite the challenges, hope endures.
