To celebrate AusMusic month and two highly influential bands reaching their 10th anniversaries, Into the Music brings the stories of Melbourne soul revivalists the Bamboos and self-described ‘rag-tag’ Sydney hip hop group, The Herd.

Founded by New Zealand born Lance Ferguson in Melbourne, the Bamboos are one of Australia’s most successful funk and soul outfits. In 2005 they signed to prized English based label Tru-Thoughts and have built a strong following internationally through touring.
