What’s it for?

It’s a question we don’t ask enough when thinking about how we’ll measure success, if we’re thinking about that at all.

My first memory of Mum’s Nokia 6110 mobile phone wasn’t text messages, or making calls, or even the iconic ringtones.

It was snake.

To win the game of snake, you would have survived long enough for the entire screen to be covered.

The rumour (from my brother, I think) was that, if you somehow finished the game, you won a new phone.

If your podcast reaches x amount of downloads what will happen?

The answer is the same as winning snake. Nothing.

Nothing happens when a specific number is reached.

No balloons will fall from the sky. Fireworks will not be lit. There will be no confetti canon and certainly, no free phone.

You reached 1000. You hit a billion. I’m happy for you.
